On such a Winter’s day

Enough fresh snow to coat the trees. The wedding tree still stands as does the slash pile awaiting bonfire night. Karl keeps watch.

Bob keeps watch from his own venue under the dryer vent. (Yes, someone needs to clean the lint out of that vent!!)

A drive on a back road. On such a Winter’s day.

  • Interesting pictures of Karl and Bob, but the last picture is really neat how you got the hawk (?) in flight.

  • Pat, Steve spots the big birds and he is really the bird of prey photographer, but the hawk was on my side of the car…and I didn’t want to try for it, but he made me! – good thing :)! – it was my favorite of the day.

  • Karl has found his place and temperature of contentment. Glad there is finally snow at the homestead.

  • Nice pix, thanks for this post Ann. Always enjoyable. ‘On such a Winter’s day’ from the ’60’s tune California Dreamin’ written by John Phillips, yes?

  • Reamus, Well, it WAS nice…now it is melting…very mild so far this Winter.

Yep, John -that is the song!

  • Karl looks as cozy on the snow as Bob does by the warm dryer vent.

    Beautiful capture of the hawk!

And how long can you save that bonfire night???

  • Just a footnote to this post-
“Someone” read the post and took the hint. After cleaning said dryer vent, “someone” hopes that “someone else” finds the job acceptable and accords “someone” his brownie points.
Stay tuned for further installments of- “Dragging ‘Someone’ out of his 2gb life and into a terabyte world.” (Any resemblance of “Someone” to Steve Douglas is- well… inevitable).
