Be still

Still water, so still that without the perspective of the shoreline there was that illusion that it was possible to fall into the sky.

Be still and know that I am God. Psalm 46:10

I can’t help but think of that verse when standing at this point on the lake on a day like this day.

Be peaceful, be quiet, be still.

  • The calmness of the lake is almost unbelievable … WOW! I really like the last picture too … the snow, the rocks, the lake and those beautiful snow covered mountain peaks. What a beautiful area you live in!

  • Absolutely perfect, magnificent. And the best part, you were there at exactly the right moment to take this picture.

  • Pat, the last is my favorite!

Susan, a breeze came up now and again and ruffled the water as we drove the road next to the lake, but more often than not that day, it was so perfectly still.

Soooo beautiful…especially the last one… and the verse is one of my favorites.

    Thanks,Ann!

  • Oh my. Absolutely your best yet. That last photo is wonderful in every way. Makes one feel very small in God’s marvelous creation, doesn’t it. And the perfect verse for the first photo is Psalm 46:10. One of my favorite Bible verses. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful work with me. I am in awe of your work, and am always in awe of Glacier N.P., God’s country.

  • Just beautiful. The third picture is also my favourite, but the second one comes close to it. It’s almost like an optical illusion. It reminds me of Lake Matheson in the South Island of New Zealand.

  • I am being sooo still.

  • Absolutely gorgeous pictures, Ann! You just keep getting better and better. Keep em’ coming, ok?
