A wedding

More later…we are spending the weekend at a lodge on Flathead Lake. Karl is with his Aunt Kris and Uncle Hal in Whitefish, Bob is home alone – although out of town friends spent Friday night and Saturday morning at the house…reporting that they never before heard a cat snore…

    Woo hoo! Good for you!

You met on my daughter’s wedding day! 9/26/09 must be a good day for love!

Best wishes from very southern California!

  • Very happy for you and Steve,… and Karl and Bob. May you have many loving years together!

  • I just had this feeling….I remember reading your posting when the “3 guys” came to clean up your wood. It just seemed like a real camaraderie between all 4 of you. A very well kept secret, Ann!! The Trout and I are thrilled for you. We wish you many, many years of happiness. Ann and the 3 boys in the pretty cottage in the woods!! Now we will really have to get together to meet the new boy!! Hopefully we’ll see you next summer as we are booked back at Georgetown Lake for August and September. God Bless. Dale and Susan

  • I pray God’s riches blessing upon your marriage. May much love and happiness abound in your beautiful home in the woods.

  • Congratulations to you and Steve, and, of course, Karl and Bob.

I thought your outside Christmas tree was lovely and it’s even more special now being called ‘the wedding tree’ and it marking the spot where you met nearby! I guess weather didn’t permit an outside ceremony …

  • Sounds like it was a wonderful day and all my best wishes from Greece!

P.S. Our middle cat, Katie, snores (and very loudly)

  • The photos you posted recently of putting up the outdoor tree and Steve sound asleep in the living room were the clues I picked up. Congratulations and much happiness.

  • I took off for a couple of hours to watch a ball game and look what happens! **wishing you fun forever** Make them behave, Karl.

  • Such pleasant news this Sunday. Congratulations Ann and Steve! Best wishes for you as you begin your marriage.

  • Congratulations and best wishes for your life’s journey together!

  • What a perfect day!

  • Woo Hoo!! Now just come sliding in with those strawberries and cream in one hand and the champagne in the other.

    All the best forever!

  • Thank you all – the good wishes and thoughts mean so very much to both of us.

And yes, we had planned to have the ceremony outside on “the” spot where we met, but December 18 is a bit iffy for being outside. It had been beautiful after the first big snow, but has since warmed up and it was an icy-slushy mess. BUT, the driving was good so all could come. The sunroom had a wonderfully warm glow and we all were dry and comfortable.

There are more photos and moments to share. It was truly an incredible day in so many ways -funny, poignant, moving, spiritual and just plain fun. I had no idea that such simple plans would result in such an awesome experience.

We are home now, all of us, one family and it feels great!

  • Congratulations and best wishes for a long, wonderful life together.

  • I am late to the wedding, but want to send you congratulations from the Ford Family! Here’s to many years of togetherness!

  • YaHoOoOoOoOoO!!!! Congratulations!

I had wondered about the two of you. I thought things appeared quite cozy and homey when you posted the picture of Steve sleeping in the chair.

You have a reader in Ohio that is so very happy for you and Steve. I will send out a prayer that God watches over your marriage, protects it and blesses it richly!

I love weddings! Hope you share more about the wonderful day!
