The nearly full moon was still high enough in the west to cast moonbeams through the trees as Karl and I headed down the driveway shortly before 6:30 this morning. A bit of fresh snow on the ground reflected the soft light.
I headed out with a hazelnut mocha in hand. The big dipper was directly over the driveway. A wind speaking of Winter was high in the trees as I walked and watched Karl’s lighted collar bob through the woods.
Turning back towards the house, the warm inside lights, the moonbeams, the wind in the pines, the new snow on the ground…December is starting right.

The moon was beautiful, and quite bright, here this morning. No snow, but 26, and the stars were putting on a show as the moon went behind the mountain for me. So hard to believe that it is already December 1!
Lovely shots, Ann, thanks.
Beautiful, peaceful, shots of your morning and words to take me there.
Now if I only had the hazelnut mocha…
