That’s Steve’s Explorer… Karl gets picked up mid-morning most days now and off they go on errands, photo stops and a walkabout or two.
Yesterday was a Wayfarer’s day. Karl leads Steve on the “Winter” route which ends by the lake for a drink.
It gives me the shivers just looking at Karl in that cold, gray water.
Apparently, the Explorer meets with Karl’s approval and/or he doesn’t want to get out and be left. I haven’t been there with the camera, but when Steve leaves without him, the description of having a hangdog expression becomes crystal clear.
Maybe Karl is getting in some male bonding time?

Sounds like Karl is “Top Dog” … new ride, daily trips, personal photographer… Yep! I’d say the bonding is going good!

There’s a dog who looks right at home!
Somehow I never imagined Karl to be one of those dogs that lays down in a vehicle … I imagined him always in the passenger seat, alert and checkin’ out the world. It’s nice that Steve and Karl have some one on one time together, and like Margaret said, he looks right at home!
