  • That’s the best photo of the lake that I’ve seen in a long time! It’s a perfect winter image.

  • And such a great caption, too.

    Early morning? Or afternoon/evening?

  • What a beautiful, totally relaxing picture!

  • Gorgeous scene. I really like how you used the railing in the composition…works beautifully.

  • That is a beautiful picture of the lake, combined with one of my favorite Bible verses. Thanks for feeding my eyes and my heart today!

  • This was taken about 5:15 p.m. on my way home yesterday – about 8 miles south of Bigfork. Sunset currently is 6:20ish. Funny about that guard rail…there was no turnout on either side of the road. I saw the light on the lake and knew it could vanish at any moment. I got to a stretch of road that was straight enough for long enough that no one would blast around a curve and find me in the way. I stopped in the road, rolled down the window and shot. When I saw the rail in the photos, I first cropped it out, then decided I liked it better in and even with that one scraggly bush.

So…another happy accident – or not. There are times when I feel a nudge to take a photo and this was one and although I have a number of photos and a “story” from yesterday, I could not, NOT post this first thing this morning. And the verse just came or as I believe, was given.

  • True serenity..

  • I love the area around Kalispell/Whitefish. Many times, my friend(AZ) and I(CO)have flown into Glacier Airport on our way to Fernie, BC. Your pictures are lovely.

  • Very nice pic Ann and the scripture verse too. See Romans 10:17 Thanks for this post, always enjoyable.

  • Beautiful… and one of my favorite scriptures also.

  • Ann…great site you have here. I’ll be a frequent visitor I suspect. Love the pictures. They are amazing, and you clearly have the eye to capture natures beauty. I enjoyed the series of you trying to capture a picture of you and Karl. Looks like he was having none of it.

  • Thank you all!
