Lou,

It was a bit of a workout, but I had my camera set to take 10 photos after a 2 second delay so I got the 3 series in 3 round trips...but not much time in between - Karl will wait patiently for as long as it takes if HE has picked the spot to wait - not so much when I force the spot and am running on snowshoes near his feet. I would have tried another couple series - for my vanity's sake but was out of steam. I had my other camera lens in my front pouch pocket and forgot about how it would probably look (my stomach!) until after the third round - I deleted several photos where I look like Mrs. Claus - still cringe at a few in the post...

Wow! Those are beautiful pictures! I LOVE your dog!

My husband and I visited Kalispell for the first time this summer and we fell in love with that area, Whitefish, and Columbia falls. We almost packed up our stuff to move out there. As it is, having sold our home, we are still looking for jobs and a place to call home...

I love your description of your front porch. That is how I feel about it, too. Since we are in transition and don't have our own home yet, I have really missed my rocking chair. Even though we lived in the city (Portland) I would sit on the front porch and observe life from there. Met people. Drank hot mugs of tea in the morning. There is something so special about it.

Neat blog!

These (sequence shots) are fun to do - partly because Karl is so funny about it. I didn't pick the best spot for light and haven't quite figured how to get the focus exact when I don't know exactly where we'll be.

LOL Melissa re Karl's freckled paws!

Yes, Pat, I would say Karl is not a fan of the whole photo shoot thing - fooled him a bit when I decided to do it spur of the moment and wasn't carrying the tripod.

Buck, keeps the wet and sun off face and neck, eh? That hat used to look more like a cowboy hat - it is somewhere around 8 years old. I have a new one in black due any day now!
