Or last night…not another biscuit failure, just a change of plan… Bill spent the afternoon cutting a few trees along the driveway to make going in and out in the bus a bit less anxious. I had a conference call/phone meeting that went until 6 p.m. By the time we convened on the front porch, we were both tired and it felt a bit late for a regular supper so we abandoned the chicken and biscuit dinner in favor of easier leftovers…maybe tonight for chicken and biscuits.
Other things not done:
Absinthe tasting. The bottle is still unopened - between deciding what to do about various things there has not been a time that has seemed right for it.
TV for Bill - when we took the short trip to the RV place so that the shop could take a look at the broken awning arm and get the right part on order, we fussed with the Satellite a bit…and with a clear view of the sky at a shop where the owner told us he gets signal immediately, nothing… So, it appears to be a problem with the receiver not necessarily a problem getting signal. Bill had a little trouble in Anaconda, MT but assumed it was the mountains in the way…an appointment has been made to have the receiver looked at.
Meanwhile, a trencher is lined up for tomorrow - Friday - to trench a line for the new electric to the garage. The “call-before-you-dig” people have been here and marked where phone and power lines run underground. We have the trenchline marked. We are to have everything ready to go in the trench. The trencher will open a trench, we’ll drop in the stuff and he will backfill after. This is a bit dependent on the main wire being available - we have everything but… Home Depot was supposed to get the wire yesterday but didn’t - they hope today. Assuming the wire comes in, we have to get it in the conduit and all ready to drop in the trench - tonight…
So…we have no biscuits, no report on absinthe, no tv and no power to the garage… but it looks to be another beautiful day! Bob woke me shortly before 4 and as it turned out, it allowed me to see the setting full moon shining through a path in the trees and casting a beautiful moonbeam across the yard - gorgeous tradeoff for a little less sleep… On with the day!
