We think we have a Plan B…well, we HAVE a Plan B…whether it will work or not is the uncertainty.
The garage, which is separate from the house, has no power to it…no light, no heat, no garage door opener. The current RV pad is on the opposite side of the garage and the Winnebago gets plugged in via a very long power cord to a 20 amp circuit on the house. A path to the tv satellite exists very near the left corner of where the Winnebago now sits.
So…Plan B - move the Winnebago into the woods. There is a nice “road” made by the logging operation of last spring and just in case our evaluation of the ability of the road to hold the Winnebago goes the way of the bus and the old garden, Bill says that we can unstick the Winnebago with the pickup. The Winnebago is less than 1/2 the weight of the bus plus 9 feet shorter. So “into the woods” with the baby motorhome and…

hopefully where the red arrow is for the bus, with its nose about where the Winnebago nose is and tail at the end of the circle drive which would put the roof satellite dish aimed to pick up the tv satellite. This is the only spot that sees the satellite from the existing driveway and we can’t back the bus far enough back in the Winnebago spot to see. Musical motohomes is this afternoon’s fun.
This morning we are off to Home Depot to get supplies for the other part of the project … running power to the garage including a 30 and 50 amp outlet on the outside of the garage by the current RV pad. The idea is “2 birds with one stone” - power to the garage and rv power vs putting an rv pad where we originally thought to put the bus. The electric project is less than half the cost of doing what we’d need to do for a new rv pad.
On with Plan B…
On a different topic but still a “B” thing…

B is also for Bear. My neighbor left a message two nights ago, passing on a message from another neighbor…a Grizzly sow with two cubs has been hanging around the area and they let me know. I carry the pepper spray always, but am extra vigilant Spring when the bears are waking up and Fall when they are moving to den up. The heads up is much appreciated! I have a bear story (black bear) from last year that I’ll tell in another post. Meanwhile, Karl and I have walked several times and although he seems to find some scent we haven’t seen any scat (poop…) or other sign of any bears passing.
The requisite mountain photo - from Friday afternoon’s walk.
