We loaded the 4 wheeler Sunday afternoon while the sun was out and it was NOT raining which turned out to be a great idea as it poured Sunday night and drizzled off and on yesterday (Monday) morning. We decided to go back to Victoria, TX - Gateway to the Gulf RV Park - for 2 nights and see if things warmed up a bit. We hoped to go back to Florida by a slightly different route which would be more north and more north has been cold enough to be icy.
We left Rockport about 11:30 and arrived Victoria shortly after 1 yesterday - in heavy drizzle all of the way. The RV park is pretty soggy as they have been pouring new pads and working on gravel approaches. Thankfully, the fields around the back for dog walking are draining and not mucky for walking. All in all a lazy day and looks to be the same today. We’ll see how the weather looks and make a plan for the return this afternoon.

It was a little sad to leave Rockport - nice people, GREAT get-together and new friends made. We left with some fun momentos gathered by Deenna…and a beautiful fish from Houston…
Gift bags are a GTG “thing” - the kites (upper right) were to be for a group kite flying outing but the weather did not cooperate so we each took one home…too bad, would have been fun and made for some great photos!
The best thing we received, though, was comraderie, friendship, laughter and beautiful memories - weather can’t get in the way of those!
