Saturday - parked, plugged in and one more day to go.
Tomorrow will roll at daylight for my final destination - I’ll catch the blog up in a couple of days.
Arrived safely at final destination - Sunday afternoon.
11/15 - catching things up…
Saturday night I was at Cullman Campground in Cullman, AL - about 50 miles north of Birmingham. This is a beautiful spot - really a farm turned RV park but nice spots, escort (I ALWAYS appreciate this), owners are on site and run the place and are very nice. Lots of pull thrus - some of the turns a bit tight but there were some big rigs. The spots are not huge but certainly room for awnings and slides with a bit of breathing space and such pretty surroundings. The park is about 4 miles off the interstate and another mile off the access road in the middle of homes with acreage so VERY quiet. It was pleasantly warm on arrival - Karl and I enjoyed sitting outside before dinner and had nice evening and morning walks around the area.
My apologies to ORS member lpisacano in Birmingham area and my friends from Montgomery… this was not a leisurely trip to FL but a 2500 mile run to a new home, new adventure, great fun and a “lotta love”!! The inspiration and motivation for this blog and the destination and new home is another ORS member, Bill. He is the one who told me, in no uncertain terms regarding my writing - “You have a gift, USE IT!!” which gave me the boost I needed to push through some software glitches and get this blog up and running in June. From Obstacles to Possibilities was inspired by and for him. His support and encouragement have been key to my writing and part of the great fun I’m having with the writing.
Karl and I are happy to be in Florida and getting settled… It was a great last solo run to get here and always, always such a wonder to see so many beautiful parts of this great country! And the people - kind, wonderful - I’ll share some of those stories as I get back to writing… but, WOW!! - RVing is great!
